Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Crescendo AI Strategy Consultants collects, how it is used, and how it is protected, including data accessed through third-party platforms like Meta, Google, and Yelp during client work.

Last updated: May 6, 2026

Who we are

Crescendo AI Strategy Consultants is an independent technology consulting practice operated by Gavin Coleman, based in the United States. References to "we," "us," or "Crescendo" in this policy mean Crescendo AI Strategy Consultants. References to "you" mean any visitor to this website, prospective client, current client, or end user of a tool we operate.

What information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details submitted via our contact forms or intro-call booking, typically your name, email address, phone number, and any free-text message you send us.
  • Engagement information shared during client work, business goals, operational data, sample documents, and any other material you choose to share so we can scope and deliver the work.
  • Payment details processed by our third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser, referring page, timestamp) when you visit this website.
  • Anonymous usage analytics to understand which pages and tools are used. We do not run advertising trackers or sell behavioural data.

Information from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram)

Some of the tools Crescendo builds for clients use Meta's Graph API to analyse a business's own public social-media presence, for example, reading public profile metadata, public post captions, public comment counts, follower counts, and public engagement metrics for Facebook Pages and Instagram Business or Creator accounts that the client has authorised us to analyse.

We do not:

  • Read private messages, direct messages, or any private content on Meta platforms.
  • Post, comment, or take any action on a user's behalf without explicit authorisation.
  • Sell, share, or transfer Meta-derived data to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
  • Store Meta-derived data longer than is necessary to deliver the analysis to the client (typically 90 days, unless the client requests a longer retention window for ongoing monitoring).

All access to Meta APIs is performed under the Meta Platform Terms and the Developer Policies. If Meta revokes or restricts our application's access, the affected analyses stop running.

Information from other third parties

To deliver reputation audits and similar work, we may also access publicly available data through services such as Google (search, reviews, business profiles), Yelp, OpenTable (where authorised), and SerpAPI / SearchAPI for search-engine result snippets. The same retention and non-resale rules above apply to data obtained from these sources.

How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and schedule intro calls.
  • To deliver paid engagements, diagnostic sprints, implementations, and retainers.
  • To operate, support, and improve the tools we build for clients.
  • To send occasional updates to people who have opted in to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

  • Our processors, service providers we use to run the business (hosting, email, analytics, payment processing, calendar scheduling, customer-relationship management). Each is bound by a written agreement requiring them to protect the data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Our clients, when we deliver an engagement, the analysis, dashboards, and code we produce are shared with the client who commissioned the work. Where the work involves their own social-media data, the client is the data controller for that data.
  • Legal authorities, if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Crescendo, its clients, or the public.

How long we keep information

  • Contact-form submissions and intro-call notes: retained for up to 24 months, then deleted unless you become a client.
  • Client engagement records: retained for up to 7 years after engagement end for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Meta-API and other public-source data: retained for the length of the engagement plus 90 days, unless the client agreement specifies otherwise.
  • Mailing-list subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR and CCPA where relevant), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information, see our Data Deletion page for instructions.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
  • Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on your consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email gavin.coleman@crescendo-consultants.com. We respond within 30 days.

Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage at rest where supported by our processors, access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and any required authorities promptly.

Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Crescendo is based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our processors operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated by email to current clients.
